When this function is on, thecamera shoots photos as long as the shutter-release button is helddown, to a maximum of ten. The camera then compares the imagesand selects the photo with the highest level of detail. Only this imageis saved to the memory card.Turning BSS on and offBest-shot selection is only available in M-REC mode. To turn BSS onor off:1. Turn the mode dial to M-REC.2. Press the MENU button to display the shoot-ing menu.3. Using the zoom buttons, highlight BESTSHOT.4. To change the setting,either• rotate the command dial (press the MENUbutton twice to return to shooting modeonce you have adjusted settings to yoursatisfaction),or• press the shutter-release button andchoose NO (BSS off) or YES (BSS on)from the BEST SHOT menu.NotesBSS can be used in situations in which inadvertent camera movement may affect theoutcome of the photograph, for example when the camera is zoomed in, macro close-up is used, or shutter speed is low.
