40zISO Sensitivity“ISO sensitivity” is the digital equivalent of film speed. The higher the ISO sensitivity, the less light needed to make an exposure, allowing higher shutter speeds or smallerapertures, but the more likely the image is to be affected by noise (randomly-spacedbright pixels, fog, or lines; noise is particularly likely at settings of Hi 0.3–Hi 2).Choosing Auto allows the camera to set ISO sensitivity automatically in response tolighting conditions.1 Place the cursor in the information display. If shooting information is not displayed in the monitor, press the P button.Press the P button again to place the cursor in the information display.2 Display ISO sensitivity options.Highlight the current ISO sensitivity in theinformation display and press J.3 Choose an ISO sensitivity.Highlight an option and press J.
