Effective usage of SpeedlightEn24Notes on bounce flashFor a simple bounce flash technique, tilt the flash head upwardand bounce the flash light off the ceiling. Note that the flashshould not directly illuminate the subject.1-2m60º 75º 90º Lightproof whitepaper• The recommended distancebetween the flash head andreflective surface (ex. ceiling)is 1 to 2m (3.3-6.6 ft).• Note to prevent the flash lightdirectly illuminating thesubject.• In color photography, selectwhite or highly reflectivesurfaces to bounce the lightoff. Otherwise, your pictureswill come out with anunnatural color cast similar tothat of the reflecting surface.• When the distance betweenthe flash head and reflectivesurfaces is long, use someA4-size white paper tobounce the light off.
