Never operate the cleaner without water.Even brief shortages of water result in se-vere damage to the pump seals.2. This high pressure washer/cleaner is onlyallowed to be connected with the drinkingwater mains, when an appropriate back-flow preventer has been installed, TypeBA according to EN 1717. If the backflow preventer hasn’t been supplied, onecan be purchased from your dealer. Thelength of the hose between the backflowpreventer and the high pressure washermust be at least 12 metres (min diame-ter 3/4 inch) to absorb possible pressurepeaks. Operation by suction (for examplefrom a rainwater vessel) is carried outwithout backflow preventer. Contact yourdealer for suction set recommendations.As soon as water has flown through theBA valve, this water is not considered to bedrinking water any more.3. To connect the appliance use a textile-rein-forced water hose with a nominal diameterof min. 3/4” (19mm).4. Observe required water quantity and waterpressure.5. In the case of poor water quality (sand, etc.)add a water filter to the machine.6. Rinse the water supply hose briefly in orderto prevent sand and other dirt particles en-tering into the machine.Mains power connectionThe following should be observed whenconnecting the high pressure washer to the elec-tric installation: Only connect the machine to an installationwith earth connection. The electric installation shall be made by acertified electrician. According to IEC 60364-1 it is strongly rec-ommended that the electric supply to thismachine should include a residual currentdevice (GFCI).Extension cablesInadequate extension cables can be dangerous.Cables on drums should always be completelyunwinded to prevent the cable from overheating.Extension cables should be of a watertight con-struction and comply with the below-mentionedrequirements for length and cable dimensions.Cable length Cross section< 16 A < 25 Aup to 20 m 1.5 mm 2 2.5 mm220 to 50 m 2.5 mm 2 4.0 mm2 Cable connections should be kept dry and offthe ground.During operation High pressure jets can be dangerous. Neverdirect the water jet at persons, pets, live elec-trical equipment or the machine itself. Never try to clean clothes or footwear onyourself or other persons. The operator and anyone in the immediatevicinity of the site of cleaning should take ac-tion to protect themselves from being struckby debris dislodged during operation. Weargoggles during operation. Do not cover the machine during operation. Never use the machine in an environmentwhere there could be a danger of explosion.If any doubt arises, please contact the localauthorities. It is not allowed to clean asbestos-containingsurfaces with high pressure. This high pressure washer must not be usedat temperatures below 0°C.Only use correct fuel as specified. Improperfuels can cause severe hazard.Repair and maintenanceAlways remove the electric plug from the socketbefore carrying out maintenance work on themachine.
