7SSE 3501 Safety NotesWARNING! Read these safetynotes and the operatinginstructions before puttingthis machine into operation.This machine may only beemployed for its intended use, asdescribed in the operatinginstructions. All covers, flaps andcaps must be installed and closedin the proper manner. Themachine may only be operatedby persons who have beeninstructed in its handling andexpressly entrusted with itsoperation.This machine must not beoperated with inflammableliquids, health-endangeringsubstances and/or inflammabledusts.Remove the plug of the mainslead from the plug socket beforecarrying out cleaning andmaintenance work.1 Dirty water tank2 Fresh water tank3 Suction nozzle lock4 Suction nozzles5 Power cable6 Suction hoses7 Quick-change coupling forhand tool8 Suction hose for fresh water9 Sealing plugA Two-position switch forsuction unitB Three-position switch forbrush roller and sprayingpumpC Hand switch for cleaningagent pumpDo not pull the machine alongwith the mains lead and do notdrive over the lead. Take carenot to crush the mains lead or todrag it over sharp corners. If themains lead is damaged, themachine must not be used untilthe lead has been replaced withan approved lead. Observe theprotection class and type ofprotection.Repairs and maintenance workmay only be carried out by aperson authorised by Alto or by anacknowledged organisation.If used for trade purposes thecleaner must be subjected to aregular safety check, normallyonce per year. Observe theapplicable national regulations!This machine is suitable forcommercial operation underheavy-duty conditions, such as inhotels, schools, hospitals,factories, shops, rentalapartments and all otherapplications which do notconstitute normal householdcleaning jobs.Other persons or children mustnot be in the working area duringoperation.When using cleaning fluids, ahazard can suddenly arise ifthese fluids are hot, under highpressure or if the fluidsthemselves represent a healthhazard. Use only the cleaningagents approved by Alto.If either fluid or foam escapesunintentionally from themachine, switch off the machineimmediately and observe thenotes given in the operatinginstructions.Check the filling levels at regularintervals and clean the tank asdescribed in the operatinginstructions.If attachments or accessories areused, the safety notes andoperating instructions for thisequipment must also beobserved. Do not overload theattachment plug sockets on themachine by connectingequipment with a rating higherthan the rating of the socket. Usebrushes, pads and accessoriesonly as described in the operatinginstructions. Failure to observethese instructions can lead to ahazardous situation arising.This machine may only beoperated on a maximum gradientof 2% unless steeper gradientsare approved in the operatinginstructions.Move the machine carefully onramps and slopes. Do not changedirection on slopes. Do not parkthe machine on slopes. Whenleaving the machine, remove thekey and secure the machine toprevent unauthorised operation.
