Squeegee System108Service Manual – SC3000Squeegee blade check and replacementNote: The squeegee must be clean and its blades must be in good condition in order to get agood drying.Warning! It is advisable to wear protective gloves when cleaning the squeegee because theremay be sharp debris.1. Clean the squeegee as shown in the previousparagraph.2. Check that the edge (E) of the front blade (C)and the edge (F) of the rear blade (D) lay downon the same level, along their length; otherwiseadjust their height according to the followingprocedure:◦ Remove the tie rod (G), disengage the fas-tener (M) and adjust the rear blade (D); thenengage the fastener and install the tie rod.◦ Loosen the handwheels (I) and adjust thefront blade (C); then tighten the handwheels.3. Check the front blade (C) and rear blade (D) forintegrity, cuts and tears; if necessary replacethem as shown below. Check the front corner (J)of the rear blade for wear; if necessary, overturnthe blade to replace the worn corner with anintegral one.If the other corners are worn too, replace theblade according to the following procedure:◦ Remove the tie rod (G), disengage the fas-tener (M) and remove the retaining strip (K),then replace/overturn the rear blade (D).◦ Install the blade in the reverse order of re-moval.◦ Unscrew the handwheels (I) and remove theretaining strip (L), then replace the frontblade (C).◦ Install the blade in the reverse order of re-moval.4. After the blade replacement (or overturning),adjust the height as shown in the previous step.5. Connect the vacuum hose to the squeegee.6. Install the squeegee and screw down thehandwheels.7.
