WSS100 - WST100 DV7 09/2009Emptying the chip basketFigure 81 Chip basket2 Container closing band3 Motorhead (WST 100 DV)4 Motorhead (WSS 100)WARNING!Before proceeding with these operations, turn off thevacuum cleaner and remove the plug from the powersocket.Lift the container with a suitable lifting device.• Open the container closing band (2) and lift off/tilt backthe vacuum cleaner motor head.• Remove the chip basket.• Empty the basket and clean it (see “Cleaning thecontainers” paragraph).• Place the chip basket back in position, making sure it iscorrectly positioned.At the end of a cleaning session• Turn off the vacuum cleaner and remove the plug fromthe socket.• Wind up the power cord.• Empty the container as described in the “Emptyingthe containers” paragraph. Clean the vacuum cleaneras described in the “Maintenance, cleaning anddecontamination” paragraph.• Store the vacuum cleaner in a dry place, out of reach ofunauthorized personnel.Maintenance, cleaning anddecontaminationWARNING!The precautions described below must be taken duringall the maintenance operations, including cleaning andreplacing of the safety filters.• To allow the user to carry out the maintenanceoperations, the vacuum cleaner must bedisassembled, cleaned and overhauled as far asis reasonably possible, without causing hazardsfor the maintenance staff or others. The suitableprecautions include decontamination beforedisassembling the vacuum cleaner, adequatefiltered ventilation of the exhaust air from theroom in which it is disassembled, cleaning ofthe maintenance area and suitable personalprotection.Compartments that are not dust-tight must be openedwith suitable tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.) andthoroughly cleaned.• Carry out a technical inspection at least once ayear, for example: check the filters to find outwhether the seal of the vacuum cleaner hasbeen impaired in any way and make sure thatthe electric control panel operates correctly.This inspection must be carried out by themanufacturer or by a qualified technician.WARNING!Use only genuine spare parts supplied and authorizedby the manufacturer.
