5. Other Functions- 42 -5.6 Recalibration of Ninebot sensorThe internal attitude sensor and steering shaft sensor of every Ninebot have been accurately calibrated when they are produced. Nosecond recalibration is required in normal environment and temperature. However, if the service environment is changed significantly(such as severe change of ambient temperature and magnetic fields of the location), there may be a “drift” of sensor’s output data, asembodied by making slight automatic turns when the riding is normal and the operation bar is in the middle, and being unstable in theforward and backward direction during making turns at the original place. In such cases, the internal sensor of Ninebot should be recalibrated. The methods are as follows:1、 Recalibration of angle sensor: Lock Ninebot by the remote key after it is switched on to keep the operation bar freefrom press; then make short press of the “limit speed mode” switch for four times, which will generate four “beep”sounds, and meanwhile the LED lights on the periphery of dashboard will go on one by one in clockwise direction; afterthe calibration is successful, all those lights will go out. If the calibration fails, usually resulted from that fact that theoperation bar deviates too much from the middle position, the vehicle will generate three “beep” alarms and the lightson the dashboard will twinkle three times.2、 Recalibration of attitude sensor: first lock the Ninebot to make sure that it is absolutely in static state during thecalibration process (you can lean the Ninebot against a wall, or support it with the park stand); then make short press ofthe “information switchover” button on the remote system for four times, which will generate four “beep” sounds, and meanwhile the LED lights on the periphery of dashboard will go on one by one in clockwise direction; then Ninebotwill proceed to the attitude sensor calibration mode which will last about 3 seconds with two “beep” sounds generated;and finally all lights on the dashboard will go out. If the calibration fails, usually resulted from obvious waggling duringthe calibration, the vehicle will generate three “beep” alarms and the lights on the dashboard will twinkle three times.3、 In addition, you can make recalibration with “Ninedroid App”, it’s much more easy and with user-friendly “Step by Step”interface.
