Remove hardware under front of machine toaccess component compartment.3. Remove vacuum motor cover and disconnectmotor wires.4. Remove the vacuum motor.5. Reverse process to install vacuum motor.Vacuum Motor Carbon Brushes Replacement38 [9.5mm]CarbonBrushesEnd CapWARNING: Thegreen ground wiremust be attached forsafe operation. Seewiring diagram.If armature commutator is grooved, extremely pittedor not concentric, the motor will need to be replacedor sent to a qualified service center.Important:These brushes wear quicker as the length shortensdue to increased heat. Spring inside brush housingwill damage motor if brushes are allowed to wearaway completely.Periodically check the length of the carbon brushes.Replace both carbon brushes when either is less than3/8" (9.5mm) long.
