41. CHARACTERISTICS1.1 WHO IS IT DESIGNED FOR?A tandem researched and designed to offer the best experience for bothprofessional and recreational flights.A wing with performance at the highest professional level and at thesame time, an accessibility and comfort that recreational pilots will fallin love with. The Takoo 4 is the first of a new generation where highperformance for the professional and the comfort for the recreationalpilot are combined to offer incredible adventures.1.2 CERTIFICATIONThe TAKOO 4 has been submitted for the European EN and LTFcertification. All certification tests were performed at the Swiss testinghouse Air Turquoise. All sizes passed the mechanical stress, shock andflight tests without issues. The mechanical stress test successfully passed the requirement to resits8 g of force. The shock test proved that he wing can resist 1000 daN of force. The flight test resulted in the following certification for all TAKOO 4 sizes:EN BLTF BThe TAKOO 4 is a tandem wing and must only be flown/controlled byone of pilots at any time. The licence/qualification for tandem pilots isawarded by national associations and governing bodies. We recommend that dual pilots have a great deal of experience and havecompletely mastered normal flight conditions. We recommend that only pilots who are familiar with gliders of thiscertification or above fly this paraglider.Only the aeronautical authorities of respective countries can determinepilot competence. We recommend pilots read the flight test report carefully, especially the comments of the test pilot. The report contains all thenecessary information on how the paraglider reacts during each of thetested manoeuvres. It is important to note that different size wings will react differently duringmanoeuvres. Even within the same size, at maximum or minimum load, the behaviour and reactions of the wing may vary. For further information on the flight test and the correspondingcertification number, please see the final pages of this manual or seeniviuk.com.1.3 IN-FLIGHT BEHAVIOURNiviuk developed this wing by adopting very specific goals: to improveperformance, excellent handling; to facilitate more control for the pilot. To increase performance while maintaining the highest level ofsafety. To ensure that the wing transmits the maximum feedback inan understandable and comfortable way so that the pilot can focuson piloting and enjoying the flight. And, with smooth handling, takeadvantage of all favourable conditions. In all aspects of flight, the wing is very solid and stable. The glide issmooth, even when fully accelerated. During glides, the wing maintainsaltitude and the wing remains stable. Improved turn precision meanshandling is less physical and provides better feedback. Inflating the wingis much easier and gentler, without overshooting.
