If that device supports synchronisation, you canalso synchronise data between the devices. Your NokiaN96 notifies you if the other device is not compatible.If the other device cannot be switched on without a SIMcard, you can insert your SIM card in it. When your NokiaN96 is switched on without a SIM card, the offline profileis automatically activated, and transfer can be done.Transfer content for the first time1. To retrieve data from the other device for the firsttime, on your Nokia N96, select Switch in the Welcomeapplication, or press , and select Tools >Utilities > Switch.2. Select the connection type you want to use to transferthe data. Both devices must support the selectedconnection type.3. If you select Bluetooth, connect the two devices. Tohave your device search for devices with Bluetoothconnectivity, select Continue. Select the device fromwhich you want to transfer content. You are asked toenter a code on your Nokia N96. Enter a code (1-16digits), and select OK. Enter the same code on theother device, and select OK. The devices are nowpaired. See "Pair devices", p. 49.Some earlier Nokia devices may not have the Switchapplication. In this case, the Switch application is sentto the other device as a message. To install the Switchapplication on the other device, open the message,and follow the instructions on the display.4.
