You can use DTMF tones formany automated dial-up services suchas banking and airlines or for enteringyour voice mailbox number andpassword.DTMF tones are sent during an activecall. You can send them manually fromyour phone keypad, or send themautomatically by saving them in yourphone.Set typeIn standby mode, select Menu >Settings > Phone settings > DTMFtones > Manual DTMF tones and on ofthe following options:Continuous—The tone sounds for aslong as you press and hold a key.Fixed—Used to send tones of theduration you specify in the DTMF tonelength option.Off—Used to turn off tones. No tonesare sent when you press a key.Set lengthYou can also specify DTMF lengthwhen using the Fixed option.In standby mode, select Menu >Settings > Phone settings > DTMFtones > DTMF tone length > Short(0.1 seconds) or Long (0.5 seconds).Welcome noteYou can write a welcome note thatbriefly appears whenever you switchyour phone on, if provided by yourservice provider.Predictive text input is not availablefor entering welcome note text.
