Signal StrengthYour phone operates on radio waves, and the quality ofradio reception depends entirely on the strength of theradio signal in your area.Because the radio coverage is maintained by a wirelessnetwork, the quality of calls on a wireless phone dependson the strength of the wireless radio signal.The stronger the radio signal, the better the callquality. A strong signal is indicated by the signalindicators on the left side of your phoneís display,which scroll as the strength of the signalincreases and decreases.Increasing your phoneís signal may be easy. Trymoving your phone slightly, or move towards a window ifyouíre calling from inside a building.No serviceIf youíre outside the wireless servicearea, 12 6(59,&( will display onyour phone. No calls can be made orreceived, including emergency calls.Unavailable serviceWhen network service is unavailablefrom your service provider or itsaffiliates, emergency calls may bepossible via other networks to theirdesignated emergency number only(e.g. 911 or some other officialemergency number).Your phoneís display will remain empty, but a ' will appearat the top of your screen.
