Signal StrengthYour phone operates on radio waves, and the quality of ra-dio reception depends entirely on the strength of the radiosignal in your area.Because the radio coverage is maintained by a wirelessnetwork, the quality of calls on a wireless phone dependson the strength of the wireless radio signal.The stronger the radio signal, the better the callquality. A strong signal is indicated by the signalindicators on the left side of your phoneís dis-play, which scroll as the strength of the signalincreases and decreases.Increasing your phoneís signal may be easy. Trymoving your phone slightly, or move towards awindow if youíre calling from inside a building.No serviceIf youíre outside the wireless servicearea, 12 6(59,&( will display onyour phone. No calls can be made orreceived, including emergency calls.Unavailable serviceWhen network service is unavailablefrom your service provider or its affili-ates, emergency calls may be possiblevia other networks to their designatedemergency number only (e.g. 911 orsome other official emergencynumber).Your phoneís display will remain empty, but a ' will appearat the top of your screen.
