Select Back toreturn to the previous menu level, or press End to exit to the standby mode.ShortcutsThe menus, submenus, and setting options are numbered. The shortcut numberof the menu is shown at the top right of the display.In the standby mode, select Menu, and quickly key in the shortcut number ofthe menu you want to access. Repeat for submenus.• MessagesBefore sending messages, you must set your message settings.For more information, see “Message settings” on page 23.Linked messagesYour phone can send and receive long text messages (network service). Textmessages that exceed 160 characters are automatically split into multiplemessages and sent as a series. The series of messages is linked by the compatiblephone when received and displayed as a single SMS message. For this feature towork properly, the receiving phone must also support linked messages.While you write a message, the number of available characters and the currentpart number of linked message (for example, 120/2) are shown in the top rightcorner of the display.If there are special characters in your message, the indicator may not show themessage length correctly. Before the message is sent, the Nokia 2651 phonetells you if the message exceeds the maximum length allowed for one message.To cancel sending, select Cancel; or save the message in the Drafts folder.Write messagesTo send a message, the phone number of your message center must be saved inthe phone. See “Message settings” on page 23.1 Select Menu > Messages > Create message, and enter the message.The number of available characters and the current part number are shownon the top right of the display.
