7. MessagingYou can read, write, send, and save text, multimedia, e-mail, audio, and flashmessages and postcards. All messages are organized into folders.Text messagesYour device supports the sending of text messages beyond the character limitfor a single message. Longer messages are sent as a series of two or moremessages. Your service provider may charge accordingly. Characters that useaccents or other marks, and characters from some language options, take upmore space, limiting the number of characters that can be sent in a singlemessage.With the short message service (SMS) you can send and receive text messagesand receive messages that can contain pictures (network service).Before you can send any text message, you must save your message centernumber. See "Message settings," p. 41.To check SMS e-mail service availability and to subscribe to the service, contactyour service provider. You can save an e-mail address in Contacts. See "Savedetails," p. 44.Write and send a text message1. Select Menu > Messaging > Create message > Text message.2. Enter one or more phone numbers or e-mail addresses in the To: field. Toretrieve a phone number or e-mail address, select Add.3. For an SMS e-mail, enter a subject in the Subject: field.4. Write your message in the Message: field.An indicator at the top of the display shows the total number of charactersleft and the number of messages needed for sending.
