The preset code is 1234 or the last fourdigits of your phone number.Note: If you enter the wrong lock code 5 times in succession, you will not beable to enter a code for 5 minutes, even if you power off the device betweenincorrect entries.Activate or deactivate phone lockThe device lock feature protects your phone from unauthorized outgoing calls orunauthorized access to information stored in the device. When phone lock isactivated, Phone locked is displayed each time you turn your phone on.Important: Call not allowed is displayed if you attempt to place a call whilephone is locked. However, calls may be possible to the official emergencynumber programmed into your phone.1. At the start screen, select Menu > Settings > Security settings.2. Enter the lock code, and select OK. (See "Change lock code", page 67 formore information.)3. Select Phone lock and one of the following options:Off—Immediately turns off the device lock feature.Lock now—Immediately turns on the device lock feature.On power-up—The device will be locked when you power on again.To answer a call with phone lock on, select Answer, or press the Call key.Allow numbers when phone lockedWhen phone lock is on, the only outgoing calls that can be made are to thefollowing numbers:• The emergency number programmed into your phone (for example, 911).• The number stored in the Allowed no. when phone locked location.1.
