Press the clear key to removea number.For international calls, press * twice for theinternational prefix (the + character replaces theinternational access code), and enter the country code,area code (omit the leading zero if necessary), andphone number.2 To call the number, press the call key.To adjust the volume during the call, press the volumekeys.3 To end the call, or to cancel the call attempt, press theend key.When security features that restrict calls are in use (suchas call barring, closed user group, and fixed dialing), callsmay be possible to the official emergency numberprogrammed into your device.To make a call from Contacts, select Menu > Contacts.Scroll to the desired name, or enter the first letters of thename, and scroll to the desired name. To call the number,press the call key.To call your voice mailbox (network service), press and hold1 in the standby mode. You must define the voice mailboxnumber before you can call your voice mailbox. See “Voicemailbox”, p. 56.To call a recently dialed number, press the call key in thestandby mode. The list of the last 20 numbers you called orattempted to call is shown. Scroll to the number you want,and press the call key.To make a push to talk call, see “Push to talk”, p. 79.Speed dialingYou can assign a phone number to one of the speed dialingkeys 2 to 9. See “Assign speed dialing keys”, p. 39.Call a speed dialing number in either of the followingways:• Press the speed dialing key, then the call key.• If Speed dialling is set to On, press and hold the speeddialing key until the call begins. To set Speed diallingto On, select Menu > Tools > Settings > Call > Speeddialling > On.
