You may receive server profiles and different configuration settings from yourservice providers and company information management department. Theseconfiguration settings may include connection and other settings used by differentapplications in your device.To check for software updates, select Options > Check for updates.To connect to the server and receive configuration settings for your device, selectOptions > Server profiles, a profile, and Options > Start configuration.To create a server profile, select Options > Server profiles > Options > Newserver profile.To delete a server profile, select the profile and Options > Delete.Security settingsPhone and SIMSelect Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone mgmt. > Security > Phone andSIM card.Select from the following:● PIN code request — When active, the code is requested each time the deviceis switched on. Deactivating the PIN code request may not be allowed by someSIM cards.● PIN code, PIN2 code, and Lock code — You can change the PIN code, PIN2 code,and lock code. These codes can only include numbers from 0 to 9. Avoid usingaccess codes similar to the emergency numbers to prevent accidental dialing ofthe emergency number. If you forget the PIN or PIN2 code, contact your serviceprovider. If you forget the lock code, contact a Nokia Care point or your serviceprovider.● Phone autolock period — To avoid unauthorized use, you can set a time-outafter which the device automatically locks. A locked device cannot be used untilthe correct lock code is entered. To turn off the autolock period, select None.● Lock if SIM card changed — You can set the device to ask for the lock codewhen an unknown SIM card is inserted into your device.
