Nokia 6 User GuideExtend battery lifeTo save power:1. Charge wisely: Always charge the batteryfully.2. Select only the sounds that you need:Mute unnecessary sounds, such as keypress sounds. Tap Settings > Sounds ,and under Other sounds , select whichsounds to keep.3. Use wired headphones, rather than theloudspeaker.4. Change the phone screen settings: Set thephone screen to switch off after a shorttime. Tap Settings > Display > Sleepand select the time.5. Lower the screen brightness: TapSettings > Display > Brightness level .Make sure that Automatic brightness isnot selected. To adjust the brightness,drag the Brightness level slider.6. Stop apps from running in the background:Press � and close the apps you don’tneed.7. Use location services selectively: Switchlocation services off when you don’t needthem. Tap Settings > Location andswitch to Off .8. Use network connections selectively:Switch Bluetooth on only when needed.Use a Wi-Fi connection to connect tothe internet, rather than a mobile dataconnection. TapSettings > More > Airplane mode .SAVE ON DATA ROAMING COSTSYou can cut data roaming costs and save on your phone bills by changing mobile data settings.To use the optimal connection method, change the Wi-Fi and mobile networks settings. Dataroaming means using your phone to receive data over networks that your network serviceprovider doesn‘t own or operate. Connecting to the internet when roaming, especially whenabroad, can raise data costs substantially. Using a Wi-Fi connection is generally faster and lessexpensive than using a mobile data connection. If both Wi-Fi and mobile data connections areavailable, your phone will use the Wi-Fi connection.Connect to a Wi-Fi network1. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi .2. Make sure Wi-Fi networking is switched to On .3.
