A SIM card allows you to transfer your service to acompatible mobile phone and maintain access to the informationstored on your SIM card, such as contact information.Install the SIM card and battery1. With the back of the phone facing you, remove the battery cover (fig. 2.1).2. Open the SIM card door by pressing the release button and lifting the door up (fig. 2.2a).3. Place the SIM card into the card slot with the gold-colored contacts facing down (fig. 2.2b).Tip! Use the beveled edge as a guide for installation.4. Snap the SIM card door into place.5. Align the gold-colored contacts of the battery with the battery compartmentcontacts (fig. 2.3a).6. Slide the battery into the slot, gold-colored contact side first.7. When the contacts meet, press the battery into place (fig. 2.3b).8. Slide and lock the back cover into place.Charge the battery1. Plug the Nokia ACP-12U charger into a standard AC wall outlet.2. Connect the charger cable to the bottom of the Nokia 6030 phone (fig.2.4).NOTE: Allow the battery to fully charge before using your Nokia 6030 phone.After your phone is fully charged, turn it on.
