To change the code, and toset the phone to request the code, see “Security,” p. 59.If you enter an incorrect security code five times in succession, thephone ignores further entries of the code. Wait for 5 minutes, and enterthe code again.PIN codesThe personal identification number (PIN) code and the universalpersonal identification number (UPIN) code (4 to 8 digits) help toprotect your SIM card against unauthorized use. See “Security,” p. 59.The PIN code is usually supplied with the SIM card. Set the phone torequest the PIN code each time the phone is switched on.The PIN2 code (4 to 8 digits) may be supplied with the SIM card and isrequired for some functions.The module PIN is required to access the information in the securitymodule. See “Security module,” p. 92. The module PIN is supplied withthe SIM card if the SIM card has a security module in it.The signing PIN is required for the digital signature. See “Digitalsignature,” p. 93. The signing PIN is supplied with the SIM card if theSIM card has a security module in it.PUK codesThe personal unblocking key (PUK) code and the universal personalunblocking key (UPUK) code (8 digits) are required to change a blockedPIN code and UPIN code, respectively. If the codes are not supplied withthe SIM card, contact your service provider for the codes.
