31Call waitingThis is a network service that allows you to receive anincoming call when you’re already in a call. The phonebeeps to let you know of the incoming call. Contactyour service provider for details.If you have subscribed to a second phone line (seepage 53), call waiting settings affect both phone linesat the same time; for example, you cannot cancel callwaiting on one line and not the other.Activating or cancelling call waiting1) Press 0HQX 4 1 2 (6HWWLQJV - &DOO#VHWWLQJV - &DOO#ZDLWLQJ)(For details on how to work the Menu, see page 13)2) Press˝W˝to highlight $FWLYDWH/ &DQFHO/#or#6WDWXV3) Press 2.Using call waitingPress Û or $QVZHU to answer a waiting call. The callyou were on is put on hold.To reject the call, press 2SWLRQV, press W to reach5HMHFW, and press 6HOHFW.Note: If you don’t want to answer the call, you can also just letit ring.To switch between the two calls, press Û or 6ZDS.To end the active call, press 2SWLRQV, scroll to 'URS#FDOO,then press 6HOHFW. The held call becomes active.Third call waitingIf you have both an active and a held call and a third callis waiting, press 1 Û. This drops the active call andanswers the waiting call; the held call is unaffected.Or, you can press 2SWLRQV and scroll to (QG#DOO#FDOOV. Thisends both the active and the held call, and the waitingcall is handled as a normal incoming call.
