Change the code, and keep the new code secretand in a safe place separate from your phone. To change the code, andto set the phone to request the code, see Security settings on page 79.PIN and PIN2 codes (4 to 8 digits), Module PIN andSigning PIN• The PIN (Personal Identification Number) code protects your SIMcard against unauthorised use. The PIN code is usually supplied withthe SIM card. Set the phone to request the PIN code each time thephone is switched on, see Security settings on page 79.• The PIN2 code may be supplied with the SIM card and is required toaccess some functions, such as charging unit counters.• The module PIN is required to access the information in the securitymodule. See Security module on page 109. The module PIN issupplied with the SIM card if the SIM card has a security module init.• The signing PIN is required for the digital signature. See Digitalsignature on page 111. The signing PIN is supplied with the SIM cardif the SIM card has a security module in it.If you key in an incorrect PIN code three times in succession, the phonemay display SIM blocked or PIN code blocked, for example, and ask youto enter the PUK code.PUK and PUK2 codes (8 digits)The PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code is required to change a blockedPIN code.
