See ”Multimediamessage settings” on page 48.A multimedia message cancontain text, sound, a picture, acalendar note, a business card, or avideo clip. If the message is toolarge, the phone may not be ableto receive it. Some networks allowtext messages that include anInternet address where you canview the multimedia message.Multimedia messaging supportsthe following formats:• Picture: JPEG, GIF, WBMP, BMP,and PNG• Sound: AMR audio, andmonophonic ringing tones• Video clips: 3GP format withQCIF and SubQCIF image sizeand AMR audioThe phone may not support allvariations of the file formats.You cannot receive multimediamessages during a call, a game,another Java application, or anactive browsing session over GSMdata. Because delivery ofmultimedia messages can fail forvarious reasons, do not rely solelyupon them for essentialcommunications.The wireless network may limit thesize of multimedia messages. If theinserted picture exceeds this limit,the device may make it smaller sothat it can be sent by multimediamessaging.Write and send a multimediamessage1. Select Menu > Messages >Create message > Multimediamsg..2. Write the message. See ”Writetext” on page 25.• To insert a file in themessage, select Options >Insert, and select anavailable option.If you select Image, Soundclip, or Video clip, the list ofavailable folders in theGallery is shown.
