Authority certificates mayalso be available in the security module.• User certificatesUser certificates are issued to users by aCertifying Authority. They associate a userwith a specific private key in a securitymodule, and they are stored in the moduleby the SIM card issuer or the serviceprovider.Security module settingsPress Menu, select Services, Settings andSecurity module settings. If there is nosecurity module in the phone, Insert securitymodule is displayed.In the Security module settings menu youhave the following options:• Security module details show the securitymodule label, its status, manufacturer andserial number.• Module PIN request: The phone asks youfor the module PIN code, which is suppliedwith the SIM card. Key in the code, andselect On to set the security module to askfor the module PIN code.• Change module PIN: Key in the currentmodule PIN code. Press Change and key inthe new code twice.• Change signing PIN shows a list of signingPINs in alphabetical order if you havemore than one signing PIN in your phone.The signing PIN is supplied with the SIMcard. Select the signing PIN you want tochange. Key in the current signing PINcode. Press Change and key in the newcode twice.If you key in a wrong PIN code several times,the phone may display PIN code blocked andask you to key in the PUK code. Contact yourservice provider to get the PUK code, and keyit in. To key in the PUK code later, you mustfirst try to use the PIN, and you will then beasked for the PUK code.■ SIM services(Menu 13)In addition to the functions available on thephone, your SIM card may provide additionalservices that you can access in menu 13.Menu 13 is shown only if it is supported byyour SIM card. The name and contents of themenu depend entirely on the serviceavailable.Note: For availability, rates andinformation on using SIM services,contact your SIM card vendor, e.g.network operator, service provider orother vendor.You can set the phone to show you theconfirmation messages sent between yourphone and the network when you are usingthe SIM services by selecting the option Yeswithin the menu 4-4-5, Confirm SIM svcactions.Note that accessing these services mayinvolve sending a text message (SMS) ormaking a phone call for which you may becharged.
