Cookies are saved untilyou clear the cache memory.While browsing, select Options > Settings > Security > Cookies; or in the standby mode,select Menu > Web > Web settings > Security > Cookies. To allow or prevent the phonefrom receiving cookies, select Allow or Reject.A cache is a memory location that is used to store data temporarily. If you have tried to accessor have accessed confidential information requiring passwords, empty the cache after eachuse. The information or services you have accessed are stored in the cache. To empty thecache, select Options > Tools > Clear the cache; in the standby mode, select Menu > Web >Clear the cache.Scripts over secure connectionYou can select whether to allow the running of scripts from a secure page. The phonesupports WML scripts.To allow the scripts, while browsing, select Options > Settings > Security > WMLscript > Allow;or, in the standby mode, select Menu > Web > Web settings > Security > WMLscript > Allow.■ Browser securitySecurity features may be required for some services, such as online banking or shopping. Forsuch connections you need security certificates and possibly a security module, which maybe available on your SIM card. For more information, contact your service provider.CertificatesImportant: Even if the use of certificates makes the risks involved in remoteconnections and software installation considerably smaller, they must be usedcorrectly in order to benefit from increased security. The existence of a certificatedoes not offer any protection by itself; the certificate manager must contain correct,authentic, or trusted certificates for increased security to be available. Certificateshave a restricted lifetime. If "Expired certificate" or "Certificate not valid yet" isshown, even if the certificate should be valid, check that the current date and timein your device are correct.Before changing any certificate settings, you must make sure that you really trust theowner of the certificate and that the certificate really belongs to the listed owner.There are three kinds of certificates: server certificates, authority certificates, and usercertificates. You may receive these certificates from your service provider. Authoritycertificates and user certificates may also be saved in the security module by the service provider.
