To maintaincompliance with radio frequency exposure guidelines only useenhancements approved by Nokia for use with this device.When the device is on and being worn on the body, always usean approved holder or carrying case.Parts of the device are magnetic. Metallic materials may beattracted to the device, and persons with a hearing aid shouldnot hold the device to the ear with the hearing aid. Alwayssecure the device in its holder, because metallic materials maybe attracted by the earpiece. Do not place credit cards or othermagnetic storage media near the device, because informationstored on them may be erased.Medical devicesOperation of any radio transmitting equipment, includingwireless phones, may interfere with the functionality ofinadequately protected medical devices. Consult a physicianor the manufacturer of the medical device to determine ifthey are adequately shielded from external RF energy or if youhave any questions. Switch off your device in health carefacilities when any regulations posted in these areas instructyou to do so. Hospitals or health care facilities may be usingequipment that could be sensitive to external RF energy.Pacemakers Pacemaker manufacturers recommend that aminimum separation of 6 in. (15.3 cm) be maintained betweena wireless phone and a pacemaker to avoid potentialinterference with the pacemaker. These recommendations areconsistent with the independent research by andrecommendations of Wireless Technology Research. Personswith pacemakers should:• always keep the device more than 6 in. (15.3 cm) fromtheir pacemaker when the device is switched on;• not carry the device in a breast pocket; and• hold the device to the ear opposite the pacemaker tominimise the potential for interference.If you have any reason to suspect that interference is takingplace, switch off your device immediately.
