The private groups exist only during an activesession. You can add to a private group only the contacts that are in your contactlist and thus in the phone’s contacts memory. If the server you are logged ontodoes not support group services all groups related menus are dimmed.Public groupsYou can bookmark public groups that your service provider may maintain.Connect to the service, select Groups and Public groups. Scroll to a group that youwant to chat with and select Join. If you are not in the group, key in your screenname as your nickname for the group. If you select Options, you can select Deletegroup to delete a group from your group list.Creating a private groupConnect to the service, select Groups and Create group. Key in the name for thegroup and the screen name that you want to use for the group. You can useanother screen name in another group. Mark your private group members fromthe contacts list and key in an invitation to newly added members.■ Instant messaging settingsYou may receive the settings as a configuration message from the serviceprovider. To receive the settings as a configuration message, or to key in thesettings manually, see ”Configuration settings” on page 90.
