All rights reserved. 70E-mail applicationThe e-mail application allows you to access the compatible e-mail account thatyou use in the office or at home, via the phone (network service). You can write,send, and read e-mails with your phone. Your phone supports POP3 and IMAP4 e-mail servers.The e-mail application uses shared memory, see Shared memory on page 14.Before you can send and retrieve any e-mails, you may need to do the following:• Obtain a new e-mail account or use the current one. To check the availabilityof your e-mail account contact your e-mail service provider.• To check the settings required for the e-mail application, contact your networkoperator or e-mail service provider. To receive the e-mail settings as aconfiguration message, see Configuration settings service on page 17.• To set the e-mail settings on your phone, press Menu and select Messages,Message settings and E-mail messages. See Settings for e-mail application onpage 78.Writing and sending an e-mailYou can write your e-mail before connecting to the e-mail service, or connect tothe service first, and then write and send your e-mail.1. Press Menu and select Messages, E-mail, and Create e-mail. The waiting noteis displayed.2. Key in the recipient’s e-mail address and press OK or press Edit and key in thee-mail address, and press OK.
