To read it,select Read.If more than one message isreceived, the number of messages,followed by _ new instantmessages, is displayed. SelectRead, scroll to a message, andselect Open.New messages received during anactive conversation are held inInstant messages >Conversations. If you receive amessage from someone who is notin IM contacts, the sender ID isdisplayed. If the sender is in thephone memory and the phonerecognizes it, the name of theperson is displayed. To save a newcontact that is not in the phonememory, select Options > Savecontact.Participate in aconversationTo join or start a conversation,select Write or start writing.Write your message. To send it,select Send, or press the call key.The message stays on the display,and the reply message appearsbelow your message.Edit your availability status1. Open the Instant messagesmenu, and connect to theinstant messaging service.2. To view and edit your ownavailability information orscreen name, select Mysettings.3. To allow all the other instantmessaging users to see whenyou are online, selectAvailability > Available for all.To allow only the contacts onyour instant messaging contactlist to see when you are online,select Availability > Availablefor contacts.To appear as being offline,select Availability > Appearoffline.When you are connected to theinstant messaging service,indicates that you are online andthat you are not visible toothers.
