DPMS (Display Power Management Signaling) is a trade mark of Video Electronics StandardAssociation (VESA)456A166. Site Preparation6.1. TroubleshootingThese troubleshooting instructions are meant to eliminate interruptions of use caused by possibleeasy--to--find defects (e.g. loose connector).Symptom MeasuresPicturescreen isblankThe indi-cator onthe frontpanel isnot illumi-natedCheck that the power cord is correctly connected to the monitor and to the powerunit. Checking the Operation of PowerSaverThe monitor is equipped with a power management function. If the computer is left idle, the functiongradually reduced the power consumption of the monitor to a fraction of the normal consumption. The proper operation of the function requires a computer with VESA DPMS power managementcapabilities. Note that the power saving feature must be activated in the computer when checkingthe operation.State LED indicators H sync V sync I/F board Panel Back lightNormal Operation Green Pulse Pulse Yes Yes YesStand ---by Red No Pulse No No NoSuspend Red Pulse No No No NoOff Red No No No No NoSwitched off Not illuminated No No No No No
