The Inboxes folder containsthe following folders: “Accountname” for incoming e-mail,Archive for archiving e-mail,Custom 1—Custom 3 for sortinge-mail, Junk in which all spame-mail is stored, Drafts for savingunfinished e-mail, Outbox forsaving e-mail that has not beensent, and Sent items for savinge-mail that has been sent.To manage the folders and theire-mail content, select Options toview the available options of eachfolder.Spam filterThe e-mail application allows youto activate a built-in spam filter.To activate and define this filter,select Options > Spam filter >Settings in the main e-mail idlescreen. The spam filter allows theuser to put specific senders on ablack or white list. Black listsender messages are filtered to theJunk folder. Unknown and Whitelist sender messages aredownloaded into the accountinbox. To blacklist a sender, selectthe e-mail message in the Inboxesfolder and Options > Blacklistsender.■ Instant messaging(IM)You can take text messaging tothe next level by experiencinginstant messaging (networkservice) in a wireless environment.You can engage in IM with friendsand family, regardless of themobile system or platform (like theInternet) they are using, as long asyou all use the same IM service.Before you can start using IM, youmust first subscribe to yourwireless service provider’s textmessaging service and registerwith the IM service you want touse. You must also obtain a username and password before youcan use IM. See “Register with anIM service,” p. 40 for moreinformation.Depending on both your IM serviceprovider and your wireless serviceprovider, you may not have accessto all of the features described inthis guide.You may receive the configurationsettings for IM service as aconfiguration message.
