All rights reserved.A Bluetooth connection can be usedto send faxes or to connectwirelessly to compatible Bluetoothaccessories or to compatiblecomputers. In the Bluetooth menu,you can manage connections anddefine settings.Using Bluetooth1. To activate Bluetooth, pressMenu, select Bluetooth and On.The indicator is displayed.Using Bluetooth consumes thebattery and the phone’soperating time will be reduced.Take this into account whenperforming other operations withyour phone.2. The phone asks for a Bluetoothdevice name. Accept the defaultname or change it. The namehelps you to distinguish oneBluetooth device or accessoryfrom another. Note that if youhave already given a name beforethe first Bluetooth activation, thephone will not ask you for it.3. Press Menu, select Bluetoothand Search for audio accessoriesto start looking for a Bluetoothaccessory to connect to.Compatible devices, which arefound, appear on a list ofBluetooth accessories one by onestarting from the device whichwas found first. To end theinquiry, press Stop.• You may need to create apairing with the Bluetoothdevice you want to connectto. Your phone will request apairing when it is needed.Accessories, as well as dataand fax connections to acompatible computer, requirea pairing, which is done byusing a passcode. Nokiaaccessories have fixedpasscodes that are suppliedwith the accessory. If you donot have a fixed passcode, youcan create one yourself, whichthe other Bluetooth devicemust also use. For exampleNokia phones do not have afixed passcode. You cancreate a new passcode eachtime you make a connection.4. Scroll to the device you want andpress Select. When theconnection has been established,the device shows Connected tofollowed by the device’s name,and the indicator .Note that you can have only oneactive Bluetooth connection at atime.5. To view the currently activedevice and close the connectionto it, press Menu, selectBluetooth and View activedevice.
