Send and receive data with BluetoothSelect > Settings > Connectivity >Bluetooth.1 When you activate Bluetoothconnectivity for the first time, you areasked to name your device. Give yourdevice a unique name to make it easyto recognise if there are severalBluetooth devices nearby.2 Select Bluetooth > On.3 Select My phone's visibility >Shown to all or Define period. If youselect Define period, you need todefine the time during which yourdevice is visible to others. Your deviceand the name you entered can now beseen by other users with devices usingBluetooth technology.4 Open the application where the itemyou want to send is stored.5 Select the item and Options >Send > Via Bluetooth. The devicesearches for other devices usingBluetooth technology within rangeand lists them.Tip: If you have sent data usingBluetooth connectivity before, a list ofthe previous search results isdisplayed. To search for moreBluetooth devices, select Moredevices.6 Select the device with which you wantto connect. If the other devicerequires pairing before data can betransmitted, you are asked to enter apasscode.When the connection has beenestablished, Sending data is displayed.The Sent folder in the Messagingapplication does not store messages sentusing Bluetooth connectivity.To receive data using Bluetoothconnectivity, select Bluetooth > On andMy phone's visibility > Shown to all toreceive data from a non-paired device orHidden to receive data from a paireddevice only. When you receive datathrough Bluetooth connectivity,depending on the settings of an activeprofile, a tone sounds, and you are askedif you want to accept the message inwhich the data is included. If you accept,the message is placed in the Inbox folderin the Messaging application.Tip: You can access the files in the deviceor on the memory card using a compatibleaccessory that supports the File TransferProfile Client service (for example, alaptop computer).A Bluetooth connection is disconnectedautomatically after sending or receivingdata. Only Nokia Ovi Suite and someaccessories such as headsets maymaintain a connection even if not activelyused.Pair devicesSelect > Settings > Connectivity >Bluetooth.Open the paired devices tab.Before pairing, decide on your ownpasscode (1-16 digits), and agree with theuser of the other device to use the samecode.
