Manage VPNSelect from the following:• VPN policies — Install, view, and update VPN policies.• VPN policy servers — Edit the connection settings of VPNpolicy servers from which you can install and update VPNpolicies. A policy server refers to a Nokia Security ServiceManager (NSSM), which is not necessarily required.• VPN log — View the log for your VPN policy installations,updates and synchronisations, and other VPN connections.Edit VPN access pointsSelect Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings and Connection >Destinations.An access point is where your phone connects to the network.To use e-mail and multimedia services, or to browse webpages, you must first define internet access points for theseservices. Virtual private network (VPN) access points pair VPNpolicies with regular internet access points to create secureconnections.Your service provider may preset some or all access points foryour device, and you may not be able to create, edit, orremove them.Select a destination and Options > Edit, and define thefollowing:• Connection name — Enter a name for the VPN accesspoint.• VPN policy — Select the VPN policy to combine with theinternet access point.• Internet access point — Select the internet access pointwith which to combine the VPN policy to create secureconnections for data transfer.• Proxy server address — Enter the proxy server addressof the private network.• Proxy port number — Enter the proxy port number.• Use access point — Select whether connections usingthis access point are established automatically.The settings available for editing may vary.For the correct settings, contact your company's ITdepartment.Use a VPN connection in anapplicationYou may have to prove your identity when you log on to theenterprise network. Contact your company's IT departmentfor the credentials.To use a VPN connection in an application, the applicationmust be associated with a VPN access point.Tip: You can configure the application's connectionsetting to Always ask, in which case you select the VPNaccess point from a list of connections when aconnection is established.1. In the application in which you want to create a VPNconnection, select a VPN access point as the access point.2. If you are using legacy authentication, enter your VPNuser name and passcode or password.
