Personalise your device19Profiles—set tonesTo set and customise the ringing tones, message alerttones, and other tones for different events, environments,or caller groups, press , and select Tools > Profiles. If thecurrently selected profile is other than General, the profilename is shown at the top of the display in the standbymode.To change the profile, press in the standby mode.Scroll to the profile you want to activate, and select OK.To modify a profile, press , and select Tools > Profiles.Scroll to the profile, and select Options > Personalise.Scroll to the setting you want to change, and press toopen the choices. Tones stored on a memory card areindicated with . You can scroll through the tone listand listen to each one before you make your selection.Press any key to stop the sound.Tip! In the list of tones, Tone downloads opens a listof bookmarks. You can select a bookmark and startconnection to a Web page to download tones.To create a new profile, select Options > Create new.Offline profileThe Offline profile lets you use the device withoutconnecting to the wireless network. When you activatethe Offline profile, the connection to the wireless networkis turned off, as indicated by in the signal strengthindicator area. All wireless phone signals to and from thedevice are prevented. If you try to send messages, they areplaced in the outbox to be sent later.Warning: In the offline profile you cannot make orreceive any calls, except make calls to certainemergency numbers, or use other features that requirenetwork coverage. To make calls, you must firstactivate the phone function by changing profiles. If thedevice has been locked, enter the lock code.To leave the Offline profile, press , and select anotherprofile. The device re-enables wireless transmissions(providing there is sufficient signal strength). If Bluetoothconnectivity is activated before entering the Offlineprofile, it will be deactivated.
