Settings105Call barringCall barring (network service) allows you to restrict thecalls that you make or receive with the device. To changethe settings, you need the barring password from yourservice provider.Select the desired barring option, and set it on (Activate)or off (Cancel), or check whether the option is active(Check status). Call barring affects all calls, includingdata calls.Call barring and call diverting cannot be active at the sametime.When calls are barred, calls may be possible to certainofficial emergency numbers.NetworkYour device can automatically switch between the GSMand UMTS networks. The GSM network is indicated within the standby mode. The UMTS network is indicatedwith .Network mode (shown only if supported by the wirelessservice provider)—Select which network to use. If youselect Dual mode, the device uses the GSM or UMTSnetwork automatically, according to the networkparameters and the roaming agreements between thewireless service providers. Contact your service providerfor more details.Operator selection—Select Automatic to set the deviceto search for and select one of the available networks, orManual to manually select the network from a list ofnetworks. If the connection to the manually selectednetwork is lost, the device sounds an error tone and asksyou to reselect a network.
