The other settings depend on the selectednetwork type.Phone IP address (for IPv4 only)—Enter the IP address ofyour device.DNS address—In Primary DNS address, enter the IPaddress of the primary DNS server. In Secondary DNSaddress, enter the IP address of the secondary DNS server.Contact your internet service provider to obtain theseaddresses.Proxy server address—Define the address for the proxyserver.Proxy port number—Enter the proxy port number.Packet dataThe packet data settings affect all access points using apacket data connection.Packet data connection—If you select When availableand you are in a network that supports packet data, thedevice registers to the packet data network. Starting anactive packet data connection (for example, to send andreceive e-mail) is quicker. If there is no packet datacoverage, the device periodically tries to establish a packetdata connection. If you select When needed, the deviceuses a packet data connection only if you start anapplication or action that needs it.Access point—The access point name is needed to useyour device as a packet data modem to your computer.Data callThe data call settings affect all access points using a GSMdata call connection.Online time—Set the data calls to automaticallydisconnect after a time-out if there is no activity. To entera time-out, select User defined, and enter the time inminutes. if you select Unlimited, data calls are notautomatically disconnected.
