Notehowever, that if the foreground object is too close tocamera, it may be blurred.Lighting conditionsChanging the source, amount, and direction of light canchange photographs dramatically. Here are some typicallighting conditions:• Light source behind the subject. Avoid placing yoursubject in front of a strong light source. If the lightsource is behind the subject or visible in the display, theresulting picture may have weak contrast, may be toodark, and may contain unwanted light effects. You canalso use the flashlight to add more lighting to shadows.See "Flashlight", p. 44.Record videosTo activate the camera and the viewfinder on the maindisplay, activate the Imaging mode. See "Take pictures inthe Imaging mode", p. 41. The camera starts, and you cansee the view to be captured.If the camera is in Image mode, open the video recorderview by selecting Options > Video mode.To make lighting and colour adjustments before recordinga video, press the joystick, and select White balance, orColour tone.
