The MemoryThe phone has 97 standard memory locationswhich allow you to store information as follows:• Phone numbers of up to 30 digits each• Names of up to 20 letters eachNumbers and letters cannot be displayed at thesame time. You can switch between numericaland alpha modes by pressing .Memory location 99 stores the phone’s ownnumber and a welcoming message (max. 20letters). You can change the number and editthe welcoming message (see the section‘Storing Information’) .Memory location 98 holds the phone’s numberwith a country code prefix. The location cannotbe edited.Memory location 00 is the so-called scratchpadmemory (see ‘Scratchpad Memory’) where youcan store information temporarily during a call.This 00 memory location is cleared when thephone is switched off.Memory location 0 is for the last number called.When the phone is locked, calls may be possibleto the emergency number preprogrammed intoyour phone (e.g., 112 or some other officialemergency number).Also, calls to the numbers in memory locations94, 95, 96, and 97 may be made and all callsmay be received.Keying In Names1 Press . The ABC indicator will appear onthe display indicating that the phone is inthe alpha mode and that when you press akey, letters will appear instead of numbers.2 Select the key labelled with the letter youwant. Each key is labelled with three letters,except for the MN 6 key, so press the keylabelled with the letter you want once(before the ABC indicator flashes). If thecharacter displayed is not the character youwant, press the key again (before the ABCindicator flashes) and if you still don’t havethe character you want, press the key a thirdtime (before the ABC indicator flashes).If you miss the letter you want, press the keyrepeatedly until the letter you requirereappears.Note: rapid key presses may activate othercharacters.3 Select further letters in the same way.You can select upper case or lower case lettersby pressing and holding the key for a fewseconds.
