M e n u f u n c t i o n s40Instant messages (Chat)Instant messaging (Chat) is a way of sending short, simple textmessages that are delivered over TCP/IP protocols to online users(network service). Your contact list shows you when the contacts on thelist are online and available to participate in an instant messagingconversation.Before you can use instant messaging, you need to subscribe to theservice. For availability, charging and subscription to the service,contact your service provider, from whom you also receive your uniqueID and password and the settings for instant messaging. For requiredsettings, see Instant messaging settings on page 45.
