Owner’s Manual 11If the refrigerator will not be operated for a long period of time,such as during seasonal storage, empty and dry the ice maker.CAUTION: Do not operate the ice maker when theambient air temperature is 0° F or lower. Damage to thewater solenoid valve and the water supply line can occur.1. Push the ice maker arm up to the OFF position.2. Close the water shut off valve of the vehicle.3. Remove the water supply line and the ice maker water linefrom the water solenoid valve.4. Drain the water from both lines.5. Dry the inside of the ice maker with a clean cloth.Ice Maker Storage (Optional)Have a qualified RV dealer or a Norcold authorized servicecenter do these annual safety and maintenance checks:- Examine the gas supply lines for leaks.- Replace or repair if needed.- Make sure the propane gas pressure is 11 inches watercolumn.- Adjust if needed.- Make sure the combustion seal is complete and intact.- Replace or repair it if needed.- Make sure the burner and the burner orifice are clean.- Clean if needed.- Make sure the electrode is clean and the spark gap is 1/8 -3/16 inch.- Adjust if needed.- Make sure the AC voltage is 108 -132 volts and the DCvoltage is 10.5 - 15.4 volts.Refrigerator MaintenanceGas flame appearance:While in LP GAS operation, examine the appearance of the gasflame:- Push the TEMP SET button until the number “9” appears inthe center display.- Open the lower intake vent.CAUTION: The burner box cover can be hot. Weargloves to avoid burns.- Look at the gas flame [1] (See Art00955).- The flame should be:- a darker blue color on the inside of the flame anda lighter blue color on the outside of the flame.- a constant shape without flickering.- Contact your dealer or Norcold authorized servicecenter if the flame is:- yellow- flickering or changing shape.- Make sure the flame does not touch the inside of theflue tube [2].- If the flame touches the inside of the flue tube, contactyour dealer or Norcold authorized service center.- Close the burner box door.Remove and clean the burner orifice:Your dealer or Norcold authorized service center must do thisprocedure.Remove and clean the burner orifice (See Art00956):- Close the valve at the propane gas tank(s).- Push the ON / OFF button to shut down the refrigerator.- Open the lower intake vent.CAUTION: The burner box cover can be hot. Weargloves to avoid burns.- Remove the burner box cover by removing the screw(s).WARNING: To avoid possible propane gas leaks,always use two wrenches to loosen and tighten thegas supply line connections.
