Owner’s Manual 5Operating the Refrigerator ControlsControls:The refrigerator control panel is located on the rear of the refrigerator.Unlike refrigerators with electric controls, this refrigerator will operate onone energy source, independently of the others.Mode selector .............................................................................. 292AC thermostat .............................................................................. 293Gas control................................................................................... 294Piezo lighter ................................................................................. 2163 Amp fuse ................................................................................... 22020 Amp fuse ................................................................................. 223The mode selector [292] changes the energy source of the refrigeratorbetween propane GAS ( ), AC electric ( ), and DC electric ( )(See Art02428).The AC thermostat [293] controls the temperature setting of the refrigerator when operating in AC electric mode. Number 5 is thecoldest temperature setting. The gas control [294] sets the temperature setting of the refrigerator when operating in the GAS mode. To change the temperaturesetting, push and turn the gas control to either the HI, MED, or the LO position. HI is the coldest temperature setting. This is not an automatic gas control. It does not change the flame from high fire to low fire as with other RVrefrigerators. If the cooling load changes, you must manually change the gas control to maintain the same temperatureinside the refrigerator. When the outside air temperature is below 50° F., the refrigerator may have a tendency to freeze food. To reduce the tendency tofreeze food:- Turn the gas control to LO position.- Keep the refrigerator full.- Put foods that are more likely to freeze on the lower shelf. The gas control has a gas safety valve built into it. As long as a flame is present, the safety valve is open and allows propane gas toflow to the burner. Any loss of flame (empty gas tank, blow out, etc.) closes the safety valve and stops the flow of propane gas.The piezo lighter [216] makes a spark which ignites the flame at the burner. The 3 Amp fuse [220] protects the AC wiring of the refrigerator. The 20 Amp fuse [223] (model 323) protects the DC wiring of the refrigerator.NOTICE2. Turn the travel / storage latch [161] into the slot of the metal refrigerator frame [157]:- Make sure the groove [225] in the travel / storage latch engages the edge [226] of the metal refrigerator frame. To disengage the storage latch:1. Turn the travel / storage latch out of the slot of the metal refrigerator frame:2. Close the door of the refrigerator.292 293 294 216220 223Art02428
