The default in this contextmeans that after rebooting the device (warm, cold, hardware, or reloading the system) thealphanumeric keypad is in its default mode. This default mode can be changed with the help of the‘NID Keypad’ control panel applet.Before you begin, open the ‘NID Keypad’ control panel applet (see section ‘Control Panel’).To change the default mode of the alphanumeric keys:1. Select the ‘Misc’ tab in the NID Keypad applet2. Select ‘Input mode’ of your choice.3. Tap the ‘OK’ button on the title bar; the task is finished.Related information: Section ‘Making Your Configuration Settings Permanent’6.3.6 Enabling/Disabling Scan KeyBefore you begin, open the ‘NID Keypad’ control panel applet (see section ‘Control Panel’).To disable the Scan key:1. There is a ‘NID Backlight’ control panel appletwhich has two trackbar sliders to adjust the brightness of the keypad’s backlight. With one trackbarslider the adjustment applies to backlight brightness when the device is in the ‘On’ power state. |
