31MAINTENANCERegular maintenance is important for optimalperformance and to reduce wear. Inspect and properlytighten all parts each time the elliptical is used.Replace any worn parts immediately.To clean the elliptical, use a damp cloth and a smallamount of mild soap. IMPORTANT: To avoid damageto the console, keep liquids away from the consoleand keep the console out of direct sunlight.CONSOLE TROUBLESHOOTINGIf the console does not turn on, make sure that thepower cord is fully plugged in and that the powerswitch is in the reset position. If there are exterior wireson the console, make sure that the connectors on thewires are fully connected.If the console does not display your heart rate whenyou hold the handgrip heart rate monitor, or if the dis-played heart rate appears to be too high or too low, seestep 5 on page 23.If you are having problems connecting the consoleto a wireless network or if you are having problemswith your iFit account or iFit workouts, go tosupport.iFit.com.If the console does not boot up properly, or if the con-sole freezes and does not respond, reset the consoleto the factory default settings. IMPORTANT: Doingthis will erase all custom settings you have madeto the console. Resetting the console requires twopeople. First, press the power switch and unplug thepower cord. Next, locatethe small reset opening(A) near the USB port onthe console. Using a bentpaper clip, press and holdthe reset button inside theopening, and have a second person plug in the powercord and press the power switch. Continue holding thereset button until the console turns on. When the resetoperation is complete, the console will turn off and thenturn back on. If it does not, press the power switch offand then on again. Once the console turns on, checkfor firmware updates (see step 6 on page 28).
