27Inspect and tighten all parts of the elliptical regularly.Replace any worn parts immediately.To clean the elliptical, use a damp cloth and a smallamount of mild soap. IMPORTANT: To avoid damageto the console, keep liquids away from the consoleand keep the console out of direct sunlight.CONSOLE TROUBLESHOOTINGIf the console does not display your heart rate whenyou hold the handgrip heart rate monitor, or if the dis-played heart rate appears to be too high or too low, seestep 5 on page 22.If the console does not display your heart ratewhen you use the heart rate monitor, seeTROUBLESHOOTING on page 16.HOW TO CALIBRATE THE RAMPIf the ramp is not functioning properly, the ramp mayneed to be calibrated. To calibrate the ramp, press andhold the Quads/Tibialis/Core button for several sec-onds until the test mode appears in the display.Press the Quads/Tibialis/Core button again. Then,press the Incline/Decline increase or decrease buttonto calibrate the ramp. The ramp will move upward anddownward as it calibrates.When the ramp stops moving, the ramp is calibrated.Then, press the Quads/Tibialis/Core button repeatedlyto exit the calibration mode.HOW TO GREASE THE ROLLERSSee the EXPLODED DRAWING near the end of thismanual. If the Rollers (51) squeak when moving onthe Tracks (11), apply a small amount of white marinegrease equally to each Roller. Spread the greaseevenly around the Rollers. Pedal the elliptical until athin lm of grease is distributed along the Tracks; then,wipe off any excess grease.HOW TO ADJUST THE DRIVE BELTIf the pedals slip while you are pedaling, even whilethe resistance is adjusted to the highest level, the drivebelt may need to be adjusted.To adjust the drive belt,first use a flat screw-driver to remove theLower Upright Cover(56).Next, remove the M4x 16mm Screw (104),and then use a flatscrewdriver to removethe Shield Cover (75).Then, use a flat screw-driver to remove theFront Stabilizer Cover(8).Remove all the M4 x 16mm Screws (104) from theright Disc (71).
