Observe and follow the safety instructions inthis document and all other related documentation. When the adhesive level in the Series 3100V melter is low, the low-levelswitch magnetically closes a dry reed switch which is connected to anexternal device. The external device can automatically add moreadhesive or illuminate a light that warns operators when the adhesivelevel is low.The low-level switch consists of a float switch, shield, and terminal block. The float rides half in and half out of the adhesive. As the adhesive leveldrops, the float drops, signaling the terminal block. The switch is intended for 30 VAC maximum, 30 W, less than 0.28 A,Class 2 circuit operation as defined in Article 725 of the NationalElectrical Code.WARNING: Hot!
