43Smaller remote site (Greenfield andinfrastructure replacement): referencetopology 3The smaller remote site (Greenfield and infrastructure replacement)reference topology 3 enables secure converged telephony and Internetaccess for very small deployments. This topology allows the site to beserved with telephony by a larger site that is linked through a branchoffice VPN tunnel. This topology consists of a BSR222 providing routingcapabilities with one or more Business Ethernet Switches. Each BusinessEthernet Switch (BES) provides traditional and Power over Ethernet (PoE)port-expansion capabilities to accommodate up to 48 node devices. Youcan connect a maximum of four BAP120 devices to each BES to providewireless access capability to node devices on the subnet. A remote BCM50,BCM200, or BCM400 supplies telephony support. See the figure "Smallerremote site (Greenfield and infrastructure replacement)" (page 44).This reference topology• assumes that DHCP is running on the BSR222 to provide IP addressingto the BES100/200 and BAP120 devices connected to the subnet• illustrates an example that applies to Greenfield deployment andinfrastructure replacementThe Element Manager 1.0 enables discovery and configuration of connecteddevices.A remote BCM 50/200/400 enables enhanced telephony features includingAuto Attendant, Unified Messaging, Contact Center, custom dialing plans, and dozens of powerful call features.SMBSmall and Medium Business Solutions Overview and Configuration GuideNN47910-200 02.01 StandardRelease 1.00 11/22/2006Copyright © 2006, Nortel Networks Nortel Networks Confidential.
