In Ableton Live mode, the flash colour is set by sendinga Note On message (or CC for the round buttons) to the device on channel 2. When a message isreceived on channel 2, Launchpad Pro will then begin to flash between the flash colour (B) andthe current colour of the LED (A), with a 50% duty cycle. See figure 16.Programmer mode does not reserve the MIDI channels for flashing, instead it uses a SysExmessage to implement flashing.Flashing (and pulsing) happens in time with MIDI beat clock (see ‘MIDI Clock’ below), the lastknown tempo or will default to 120 bpm. Flashing can be stopped by sending the LED a messageon channel 1.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Flash LED using SysEx$The LED will flash between the chosen colour and its current colour. The side LED can also beupdated by this message.
